Game Recap

ON OCTOBER 5TH, THE NORTH MIAMI WARRIORS BOYS SOCCER TEAM HAD A SEMI-FINAL SECTIONAL GAME AT CASTON, AT 7:00 PM AGAINST PERU HS. IT WAS A VERY EXCITING GAME. AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MATCH, THE BALL TRAVELED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FIELD CONSTANTLY. BUT, THE WARRIORS STARTED GAINING POSSESSION OF THE GAME , AND A BEAUTIFUL COMBINATION OF PASSES AMONG OUR PLAYERS, GONZALO MORALES WAS ABLE TO PUT THE BALL BETWEEN THE IR DEFENDERS. AT THE MOMENT OF THE PASS, THE OTHER STRIKER, CONNOR HANAWAY, MADE A RUN AND WITH HIS TREMENDOUS DRIBBLING SKILLS AND SPEED, HE SCORED THE FIRST GOAL OF THE NIGHT. SO AT THE END OF THE HALF THE SCORE WAS NORTH MIAMI 1, PERU 0. DURING THE SECOND HALF, THE OPPONENT TRIED TO KEEP UP WITH OUR SPEED AND COMBINATION OF PASSES, BUT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO PENETRATE OUR TERRITORY. THEN WHEN ONE OF OUR PLAYERS TRIED TO MAKE A CROSS ON THEIR PENALTY AREA, THE REFEREE CALLED A HAND BALL AGAINST THEM. SO CONNOR ONCE AGAIN, SCORED HIS SECOND GOAL FROM THE PENALTY SPOT. THE FINAL SCORE WAS THE NORTH MIAMI WARRIORS 2, PERU HS 0. OUR GOALIE, ETHAN DUFF, HAD 3 SAVES AND THIS WAS HIS 6TH SHUT OUT OF THE SEASON.CONGRATULATIONS TO CONNOR HANAWAY FOR BEING NAMED THE “PLAYER OF THE GAME”. THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IS THIS COMING SATURDAY, AT CASTON, AT 7:00 PM AGAINST ROCHESTER HS.
